Frequently Asked Questions – Home Visit Dentist Liverpool
Everything you need to know about our dentist at home service in Liverpool, Wirral, and Merseyside.
Common Questions About Our Service
A home visit dentist is a fully qualified dental clinician who comes to your home, care home, or hospital to provide dental treatment. We bring all the necessary equipment with us, so you receive the same standard of care you’d get in a dental practice – without having to travel. Our dentist at home service in Liverpool is ideal for elderly, housebound, or disabled patients.
Need a Home Visit?
Liverpool & Merseyside. We come to homes, care homes and hospitals.
We cover all of Liverpool, Wirral, Southport, and the wider Merseyside region. This includes areas like Aigburth, Crosby, Anfield, Wallasey, Birkenhead, Formby, Maghull, and many more. If you’re unsure whether we reach your area, just give us a call on 0151 372 1682.
Our home visit fee is £350, which includes travel and a full consultation. Treatment costs are separate and depend on what’s needed – for example, a check-up is £99, an extraction is £210 per tooth, and a denture repair is £150. We always provide a clear, itemised quote before you commit to anything.
We offer a wide range of treatments including dental check-ups, fillings, tooth extractions, new dentures, denture repairs, denture relining, scale and polish, crown and veneer recementing, smoothing sharp edges, and emergency dental care. All treatments are carried out to the same professional standards as a dental practice.
Yes, absolutely. All of our clinicians are GDC (General Dental Council) registered and experienced in domiciliary dental care. Our service is also CQC (Care Quality Commission) registered, meaning we’re regulated and inspected to ensure high standards of care.
Yes, we regularly visit care homes across Liverpool, Wirral, and Merseyside. We can arrange individual visits or multi-resident clinics for several residents on the same day. We also provide staff training and full clinical documentation for CQC compliance.
Yes, we provide bedside dental care for hospital inpatients across Merseyside. Whether it’s an emergency, a denture repair, or a pre-discharge dental assessment, we can come to the ward.
For routine appointments, we can usually arrange a visit within a few days. For urgent or emergency dental care, we offer a priority service to get to you faster. Call us on 0151 372 1682 to discuss urgent needs.
Of course. Many of our bookings are made by family members, carers, or care home managers on behalf of patients. Simply provide the patient’s details when booking and we’ll take care of the rest.
Being in your own home can make dental treatment much less stressful. Our clinicians are experienced in working with anxious patients and take a gentle, patient approach. There’s no crowded waiting room, no unfamiliar environment – just your own comfortable space.
Not much at all. We bring all the dental equipment. We just need a chair for you to sit in (a recliner or armchair is ideal), access to a power socket, and reasonable lighting. We’ll let you know if there’s anything specific needed when we confirm your appointment.
Yes, denture repairs are one of our most requested services. If your denture is cracked, broken, or has a missing tooth, our clinician will assess the damage at your home and arrange the repair – usually with a same-week turnaround. Repairs start from £150.
Yes. Loose dentures are a common problem, especially as gums change shape over time. We offer denture relining at home for £250, which involves adding new material to the fitting surface of your denture so it sits snugly again. It’s a cost-effective alternative to having entirely new dentures made.
Yes, we can recement crowns and veneers at your home. Our clinician cleans the area, checks the fit, and recements with professional dental cement. If you still have the crown, keep it safe – we may be able to recement the original. The cost is £149 plus the home visit fee.
We can still carry out extractions for patients on blood-thinning medication. There is an additional £150 surcharge per tooth, which covers the extra time and materials needed, including stitches to manage bleeding safely. Please let us know about any medications when you book so we can plan accordingly.
Our home visit dental service is private, not NHS. This means we can offer flexible scheduling, shorter waiting times, and a fully personalised service. All costs are quoted clearly upfront so you know exactly what to expect.
